THE Founder's Story
Hyde's Serum started with a problem its founder, Ryan, experienced firsthand.
A longtime automotive enthusiast with a meticulous vehicle-care routine, Ryan spent countless hours keeping his project vehicles ready for shows and events. Detailing became more than routine maintenance. It became a process of learning, refining and paying attention to the small details that separate a clean vehicle from a truly finished one.
One of those details was especially frustrating: flash rust forming on brake rotors after washing.
After spending hours cleaning a vehicle, freshly washed brake rotors could quickly begin developing an orange layer of surface oxidation. That rust could also create unsightly residue that took away from the appearance of freshly cleaned wheels.
Ryan wanted a better way to finish the wash.
From a Personal Solution to Rustopper
That search led to the development of Hyde's Serum Rustopper, a simple post-wash treatment designed to help prevent flash rust and oxidation after washing or water exposure.
What began as a solution for Ryan's own vehicles soon found its way into local car clubs and the hands of other enthusiasts and detailers who understood the same frustration.
Their response helped turn a personal solution into a product.
